hiking the uintas. in snow. on august 15th.

We were going to backpack in, but due to the storm warnings we decided to camp in tents at some campgrounds. The camping was complete with s'mores, Phase 10, rain, songs of many childhood shows and cartoons, and morning pancakes.

We drove up to the trailhead to start our hike to Naturalist Basin and Jordan Lake. It started hailing, and then it started snowing and continued to do so all the way to Naturalist Basin. I'm glad we stuck it out, because once we got there it was nothing but sun and blue skies. It was so beautiful.

Utah is so beautiful!
